This beautiful three foot Carrara Marble statue had suffered a break and a very bad glueing job, which was off center. The little finger was also missing. It also was very dirty, requiring hours of work to bring it back to its pristine beautiful white with darker striations. This kind of marble restoration is one of my favorite projects.
Here is the statue after it has been totally cleaned, a new finger made and attached, and the arm put into the correct position with museum quality glues and fillers. The old yellowed epoxy was totally removed so the piece now has the original look of the beautiful Carrara marble.
